U.S. Navy Priority Material Office
The Priority Material Office (PMO) is the premier material expediting outfit to the U.S. Navy. S&K Global Solutions logisticians are completely integrated with the PMO, working side by side with military specialists.
The PMO is a command solely dedicated to global cradle-to-grave expediting and tracking of all Issue Priority Group 1 equipment requisitions for submarines, surface ships, tanks, Military Sealift Command vessels, Naval Expeditionary Forces, and deployed Marine Ground Forces.
Founded in 1964 to support the Polaris Submarine program, the PMO has grown to provide an extremely efficient material expediting of mission critical parts necessary to keep the Fleet and Marine forces of our nation ready to fight. The service continues to add new customers seeking a quality and efficient logistics management solution.
The growing list of customers includes: USS Constellation Battle Group, Fleet Ballistic Missile submarine force, Pacific Fleet submarine force, Pacific Fleet Military Sealift Command ships, Marine Air-Ground Task Forces, Chief of Naval Operations, and Coast Guard Headquarters. SKGS logisticians are versed in Navy supply systems, regulations, policies, procedures, and practices, and have specialized knowledge in supply system/material expediting and customer service practices. Familiarity with automated supply systems and knowledge of the complex coding structures for specific supply transactions is required. We apply technical discipline and follow specific procedures for the completion of support functions and the assembling data to document and analyze activities.
